I'd like something for a clever beagle who likes a challenge! Worried she will get bored when I start a new job soon and she will be on her own for a couple of hours after dh leaves for work but before I return. She is fine if we go out for the evening but I want to pre-empt any problems!

Recommendations gratefully received.

Nina ottosson toys are good, but if your dog is prone to chewing then they're best used under supervision

Other than that, kongs and the kong wobbler are pretty tough

Nina ottosson tornado is pretty good and easy to fill with different treats (kibble, yoghurt, tomato sauce, peanut butter etc).
(Its the blue toy at the back)

Kong wobbler is always good, I add frozen peas in with normal kibble as a treat.

Even a simple slow dog feeder, like the spiral ones can keep a dog occupied for a while.

I mix wet and dry dog food, and stuff it in any type of rubber dog toy - i.e the b&m snakes, kongs,
I even chopped up some tough rubber tubing.

Stuff it with the mixture and freeze. They have to lick it out which takes longer.

I prepare them all on Sunday, then give one a day whilst I'm at work.

I'm getting our Ddog this for his birthday www.doggiesolutions.co.uk/buster-activity-mat.html
You can add things to it too so it's build it up over time
