Puppy tipping up water bowl.

We have a 7 year old lab and a 15 week old puppy. Pup keeps tipping up the water bowl so he can carry it Smile. I have put the bowl outside but my older one is all confused. Any suggestions as to an untippable bowl.

Ours is attached to the crate for the same reason
We bought it from amazon
I suppose if your older pup is confused and probably not crated that isn’t ideal though

Can you get the heavier ones or raised ones that pup won’t be able to lift or move?

Or do you have any sort of pen or anything else in your set up that you could fix a water bowl on to?

@Nojeansplease no we don't use a crate, I have seen some on a stand but he tips them up at my friends! I wonder if a ceramic one would work, just don't want him to hurt his teeth

I’ve got one of these

www.amazon.co.uk/Road-Refresher-Prestige-Spill-Water/dp/B001GULX04/ref=asc_df_B001GULX04/?hvlocphy=1006657&linkCode=df0&psc=1&hvnetw=g&hvadid=218677846051&th=1&hvpos=1o2&hvdev=m&hvtargid=pla-351833807955&hvrand=14430507429231129550&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21

Our springer makes a right mess with her water and I got fed up with wet socks every time I went in the kitchen

It’s stopped her dribbling water everywhere and she hasn’t managed to tip it over yet

What about this type? We use it for food but I think it would be very hard to tip up.

@BiteyShark that looks great thanks! It's the lip he is using to tip it up so this looks perfect. I'll order one. He is a a handful but definitely worth it!

We have a Cole & Mason water bowl. Way too heavy for a dog to tip, never mind a puppy. Most places sell them I think.

We have these for water, which our dogs like snd I reckon would be hard to pick up.

Ours liked to do this so we bought a heavy mason type bowl that's narrower at the top. He's 4 now and still likes to paddle in it but he can't tip it over

Another vote for the road refresher.

We also bought a few road refreshers to stop this from happening and haven't had a single incident since then.

I have a Dogit dog fountain from Amazon, but you do need to plug it into the mains.www.<a class="break-all" href="//amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004OHQUUY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?psc=1&ie=UTF8&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21" rel="nofollow noindex" target="_blank">https://amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004OHQUUY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21
