Just signed up for a five week session, our rescue dog has no major issues but doing it with the kids so they understand how to handle him a bit better and to learn some more training ideas so our dog has more to do when we're at home.

Anyone done this? Signed up on their reputation as a rescue centre but now thinking I haven't heard many recommendations!!!

They are fantastic! I did a five week adolescent course with my most recent puppy, as an experienced dog owner but wanting an opportunity to practice focus with other people and puppies around. I was seriously impressed by their set-up, the course content and the general ethos of the sessions.

Whilst I suspect there may be differences in the different locations, I have also heard good things. You can pretty much guarantee they are using scientifically proven training methods so you won't subject to someone's outdated methods based on something that was done 20 years ago.

I did the puppy one, with my now 3.5 year old cocker. Would highly recommend it. Taught me lots of recognising behaviour, body language.

We have another puppy now and I am going to do the same again.

Well that's a relief! Thanks for your replies, I'm really looking forward to it now. I need a refresh and my eldest is so keen to learn as well.

Now we have to see if our Greyhound can sit as he hasn't managed it so far! They did say there would be alternatives if it was a problem.
