car ramps/steps

My middle-aged dog now needs a bit of help, and lots of treats, to get him into the car, not easy to lift him if I'm on my own.
He's fine otherwise, recent vet check all well.
I tried a ramp years ago as he's a large dog and I thought it'd be better for his joints than jumping in and out but he wouldn't have anything to do with it.
Any recommendations/advice what to get?

Following as we have one reaching the same stage. We plan to get a ramp and to lure him up it with treats, but any other info would be be good.

Best to introduce the ramp flat on the floor to start with- no luring just treat on the ramp and click when the dog eats it - so maybe just nose on it to start with .

Them when happy with feet on the ramp put food all along the ramp.

When the dog is comfortably walking on the ramp then raise a small bit - we put an old tyre under it.

Gradually increase the angle.

It depends on the weight of the dog and the height of the car as to the best one.

We have a ramp but covered it with carpet and it’s a great success.
