Supply WC with ddog treats?
Launched from the safety of a high rung?

Move the dog into a room where he can’t see/hear the window cleaner.

Poor dog was sitting there in his pants watching some adult (dog) TV and playing with his balls, when up pops the Window cleaner, no wonder he lost it.

😂Fake
Strange because he doesn’t bark when someone knocks the front door or the Sainsburys delivery food shop.

But he's more used to that. The window cleaner comes much less often, so it's a shock for him. He thinks WC is an intruder.

Give dog treats when WC starts work, so he associates him being there with good things happening for him.

Mine does this.

We close the curtains and give him treats (the dog, not the WC!)

We close the front curtains he isn't allowed in upstairs rooms so he just sits and grumps till the Wc is finished he isn't fussed on treats because of the grumping i leave him to it.

Where is the dog relative to the window cleaner? The dog may be less concerned if they're both outside, as the dog won't feel it's protecting the inside of the home.

Could the window cleaner be persuaded to spend a bit of time playing fetch (or whatever your dog loves doing) by way of a bonding activity?

Thanks all I will try the dog treats. We don’t have curtains in our lounge or conservatory.
