It's Christmas coming up and I've just adopted a new greyhound, so that means it's shopping time! It's ages since I bought my older greyhound anything so she needs a wardrobe update too.

Can anyone recommend some good places for coats, collars, toys (new grey seems to like shaking my sheepskin rugs so I need a more fun alternative!)? I'm looking for a mixture of practical and just downright cute, I think.

Thanks!

my very favourite subject! My lurchers are better dressed than I am tbh.

Collars
Meggie Moo (I adore her fleece leads too)
Slouching Hound
Dogs on Bikes

Coats
Milgi
Greyhound Monkey (ddog1 is a fan of their onesies)

Toys
Ddog1 loves his squeaky cow toy, but it sounds like yours wants something to toss in the air and catch - we had a flat pheasant like toy that was popular for this, and a really annoying monkey with long arms/legs (and it made a monkey noise when squeezed) that seemed to work.

OOh thanks @CMOTDibbler that'll keep me occupied today!

Yes I'm the same. Maybe I should buy myself some decent coats too.

Ha, nice! My partner would not be impressed if I dressed them up as Santa but if his sister just happened to buy them those outfits for christmas he wouldn't say anything to her Wink

I have some collars for here my non-pointy hound but they do martingale collars too. They wash well and the metal doesn’t rust.

I made those coats myself - everyone loves the glow in the dark halloween Star Wars one and ddog1 wears it all through October, but the santa one is only for charity appearances. He has a more restrained snowflake coat for other occasions in December.
Ddog2 is less needing of coats, but will have a reindeer coat complete with harness and bells once I've made it! Along with other practical coats...

Oooo thank you for this thread OP, going to be treating my whippetX to some new jumpers!
I did spot this description on Greyhound Monkeys website though:
" if your dog sleeps in an unheated room."
How on earth does anyone get a pointy dog to sleep in an unheated room?!
Mine discovered the electric blanket on our bed the other night, we had to physically lift her to the bottom of the bed because she was glued to the blanket!!

I've just found a website called The Trendy Whippet. They sell human clothes too. Whippet leggings anyone?! I'm so tempted!!

I was tempted to get my hound her own electric blanket to stop her crawling into the middle of us in bed during the night but she digs too much and i was worried she'd electrocute herself or something!

Ha great outfits. Mine have clearly been neglected in the fancy dress department!
