We can't agree on a name...

GreyHare Sat 23-Nov-19 19:51:12

Mine have their 'proper' or 'Sunday' names but tend to be called by their nicknames, I have a Hector who is Poop or Boy and Hilde who is Pup-pup or Puppy even though she is 5.

Mine was called something unprintable last night because he'd rolled in fox poo & got it all over his neck. Urrgh.

Ours is a Ted but for some reason my kids call him Dougie or Dougger (no idea how they imagine that’s spelt)

MissShapesMissStakes Sat 23-Nov-19 19:58:46

But I would have liked to call him Falcor

I have Bruno, but he gets called boon most of the time or doggo.

ilovetofu Sat 23-Nov-19 21:08:38

@Winterdaysarehere pup isn't here yet. I will post once we collect her.

Flibbertyjibbit Sat 23-Nov-19 21:13:34

Luna, aka lunatic, loony, loopy, lunakins and many other nicknames grin

We had no idea we'd chosen a "popular" name till sat in the vets for her 2nd jabs with 4 other Luna's. She is a rescue pup but was young enough when brought home that we could rename her.

IratusCats Sat 23-Nov-19 21:17:36

Minnie (goes by Min, Mins)
Baloo (goes by Baloo boo)
When new pup joins he's being called Hercules (will probably shorten to Herc)

Neighneigh Sat 23-Nov-19 21:29:13

Twatdog (not his kennel club name)

SoundofSilence Sat 23-Nov-19 21:31:07

Currently 'You arsehole' for many and varied reasons.

ChardonnaysDistantCousin Sat 23-Nov-19 21:31:30

My future dog (I will have one someday) is called Coco

HainaultViaNewburyPark Sat 23-Nov-19 21:34:10

Juniper. Which has been shortened to Ginny (via Gin-Gin).

PragmaticWench Sat 23-Nov-19 21:36:40

We've recently got DDog number two and I've really enjoyed naming both of them with names you wouldn't give a child. You can be really adventurous! We've always found two syllables easier to call than one or three, but go with something you love.

Iwillbemrsminty Sat 23-Nov-19 21:37:11

Not ours but in laws, Flynn. He's a golden retriever grin aaah here he is! He gets called Flynnster so not shortened rather lengthened confused
