I'm feeling low, so share in the joy of my dog 🐶

I'm feeling a bit lost at the moment as I'm having a few mental health issues, so cheer me up by complimenting my old boy.
His name is Jeff, he is 12 soon and he's been mine since he was a puppy.

His favourite toy is a squeaky sprout, his favourite food is everything, his favourite person is me followed closely by my 9 year old DS. He is always stealing my blankets, he smells like cheese popcorn and puppies and he is always cleaning his feet!

Show me your pups that get you through tough times and listen to you whine.

He’s lovely 😍😍 sorry to hear you’re feeling low. Dogs are wonderful medicine. Cuddles with Jeff sounds like the right idea.

Curlysurprise Wed 20-Nov-19 14:34:08

Aw, look at that beautiful face. Jeff is clearly a sweetheart.
Here are my two lovely creatures. They have helped me through a few tough times.
Hope you feel better

Hi Jeff 👋🏼 you’re beautiful!
I also have one of you, she has many many names because she’s a little turd.
Feel better soon Jeffs mum! flowers

Also ‘his favourite food is everything’ is also my girl. Except salad.

She’s a salad dodger like her mother 😊

Jeff's a beauty! ( I also love your bed linen by the way!)
Take time to snuggle him and take care of yourself, I hope the tough times pass soon

Aw Jeff in the hat. grin

I need to take a photo of my ddog. He just had a spa session as I call it. The mobile groomer comes to the house. So he had a once over, brush, wash, dry, nails etc. But the funniest of it all is that he is a Lab but has quite wavy fur, well very wavy once he gets wet. So he isn't the biggest fan of getting dried off so they rub him down with the towel and let him air dry (we aren't in Uk so its hot). But he looks like hes just been and had a perm. Like crinkle cut crisp.

Love him to bits.

Aw Jeff, he has that look on his face, stop taking photos of me! Mine does the same.

AlanPartridgesSausageSandwich Wed 20-Nov-19 15:01:26

Aww @Curlysurprise your pups are gorgeous, such kind cuddly faces 😊

@ChrisPrattsFace miniature dachshunds are the best. I have vowed to always have at least one. Although they shit alot for such small dogs, unless that's just mine??

@user1494670108 thank you, all my bed linen is from asda

My ds recently joined the army. Still have dc at home but passing his room is awful!!
A while ago he sent me this :
And I do indeed feel the need to keep trawling through ddog rescue site websites! *already have 4 ddogs!!

Winterdaysarehere Wed 20-Nov-19 15:28:45

Always an ear available for a chat!!

Ilovethekitties Wed 20-Nov-19 15:29:26

What a cute old boy. He's a good doggo, you can tell.

soberfabulous Wed 20-Nov-19 15:40:13

Oh Jeff, what a handsome and whiskery man you are!

Don't have a dog; but adore seeing others. Aren't animals just the best tonic.

AlanPartridgesSausageSandwich Wed 20-Nov-19 15:47:58

Jeff is annoyed with me because I made it look like he does nothing but lounge on human beds. So to rectify here is an action shot....

@Kleptronic dachshunds look the best in jumpers don't they, my boy loves his 😍

@Winterdaysarehere Your dogs are gorgeous, when we move to a bigger property we are going to rehome a greyhound and get a whippet 🥰🥰🥰

Jeff is such a cutie!!

talia66 Wed 20-Nov-19 16:06:59

This is max. Escape artist in the making! Will eat ANYTHING and has waged a war against the wheelie bin next door! Hope you are feeling better xx

Winterdaysarehere Wed 20-Nov-19 16:12:56

Op I feel I must assure you sight hounds are every bendy. They fold up small - you don't need a bigger house at all!!
Dcats didn't even get chance to try out their new beds poor boys!!

AlanPartridgesSausageSandwich Thu 21-Nov-19 08:10:37

@talia66 awwww Max is so floofy I wanna squidge him!!

@Winterdaysarehere 😂 they do indeed look very bendy and it's nice to see cats being forced out of their beds in read of vice versa.

I also have a lurcher that can fit in the smallest of beds! 😂
Yes, my sausage is also a shit machine. They’re small... but there’s an awful lot of them!

Maggie is a ''my favourite food is everything ' dog too, except, surprisingly kidneys, which my husband lovingly bought and prepared for her (he said it was cheaper than dog food.). She turned her nose up at it....the only time she has turned her nose up at anything edible.

Am at work so photo will turn up when I get on my phone, but I love her for her unconditional love and cuddles, her ability to make me laugh and smile daily, and for being my reason to get out and walk. I love how her needs are simplistic, all she wants are us, attention, food and a comfy bed. She don't worry about work, money, Brexit, Boris Johnson being PM, anything.

I credit her for coming off citalopram after 10 years. I think dogs should be available on prescription.

Jeff is adorable. Love his name!

This is Eddie. He's just turned nine, although we've only had him six months - his previous owners had to give him up and my friend was fostering him for a local rescue. We'd lost our lovely old boy at 16 a couple of months previously and just fell in love with him. He's an absolute clown of a dog - loves carrying his hundreds of teddies around and has the most amazing range of vocalisations in the deepest voice I've ever heard in a dog.

Spidey66 Thu 21-Nov-19 14:57:43

My girl xxx

spiderlight Thu 21-Nov-19 14:59:14

This is his favourite teddy - his sloth!

kjhkj Thu 21-Nov-19 15:01:51

My six month old baby boy. Just (reluctantly) woken up and given me a cuddle and a lick because I'm being ridiculous and have allowed someone online to reduce me to tears.
