Do I need to Indorex?

I had a house guest overnight who had their dog with them. This morning I noticed their dog scratching a lot when looking I noticed their dog has full grown fleas.

My dog has flea treatment but am I right in thinking I will have to Indorex my house incase they start breeding on the carpet? Would a thourogh vaccym be enough since they wouldn't have had chance yet to create an infestation?

One of our dogs once came back from kennels running with fleas. The dogs were almost due another flea treatment so I just gave them that and all was fine.

Won't they breed in my carpets and furniture?

I have vaccumed every inch of the house, more than once in some rooms, stripped the sofa and vaccumed under the cushions etc.
Washed all of the throws and pillows, stripped the beds gloved the mattress.

Hoping that will be enough and I won't have to Indorex. Going to wait and see if there are any signs.

They'll only breed if they have laid eggs before they get zapped by the flea treatment. And even then, they need to get onto the dog to continue their life cycle, and then the treatment will zap them.

You might pick up the odd bite in that scenario, but you won't get an enduring infestation, because their host - your dog - will prove fatal to them.

Provided, of course, that your flea treatment is effective.

We use Advocate and have never had a flea before so I am hopeful that we should be OK.

Who brings a flea ridden pet to someone else's house!

The flea treatment should be enough but I would also Indorex, if it was me, because I cannot stand the thought of them little flea eggs hiding away in my carpet.
