Last weekend, our neighbours Jack Russell escaped its garden and got out onto the back street behind our houses.
DH was emptying the car out so our dog (a beagle) was sat in the backseat on his seatbelt and in his harness. The door was open to let air in and so DH could empty the car but keep the dog secure too.
Anyway, neighbour tried to recall his dog but he wasn't interested and he leapt into DH's car and managed to bite our dog on the underside of his stomach. He bled but no lasting damage and no vet treatment required thankfully.
However neighbour didn't apologise and just got his dog and left (he's not a pleasant person so I didn't really expect much else). I'm really angry my dog got bit though and a couple of days later he reacted to another terrier type dog that he's always been fine with - I'm assuming out of fear
What's the best way to get him over being bitten like that? He's normally fine with other dogs and I can distract him with food so he sits and ignores - is that enough do you think?
Picture for cuteness!
