Hoping someone can give me some more information on puppy vaccinations. I have a 9 week old puppy - vaccinated at the breeder's vet with L2 & DHP. My vet only does L4 but there is another local vet who offers both. My concern is that my puppy will have L2 followed by L4 and then another L4 - just seems a lot of vaccine to pump into a tiny puppy (plus I know there has been some controversy around L4). Has anyone else been in this position? At one point the vet suggested the first L4 this week - only a week after his first jabs - but I declined. I could just go for L2 but would like him fully protected as he is a golden retriever and will no doubt be drawn to all sorts of standing water, which I understand to be risky.
Any advice please??
