Westies from Wales???

I'm looking to buy another Westie and there seem to be more than normal the amount of breeders in Wales. Does anyone know if this is a particularly bad area for puppy farming or is there a genuine reason for so many in that part of the UK?

It's because of puppy farming, yes.

There’s a huge number of puppy farmers in Wales. Mostly of small breeds like westies. I lived near a rescue in west wales who used to specifically take in and rehabilitate ex breeding bitches to stop the puppy farmers dumping them. All around 3-4 years old, unsocialised, not house trained and couldn’t walk on a lead after spending their life in a cage. Puppy farmers are rife in rural areas where they can keep under the radar

Wales is full of puppy farmers, especially but not exclusively in West Wales

Yup, Carmarthenshire in particular is crawling with puppy farmers :(

We have a basset hound and I'm always seeing adverts for basset puppies in Carmarthenshire, it's very sad.
