Dog harness for a baldy dog

I have JRT who is lacking in hair under his armpits and chest area, he currently has a Pet Love harness which is good but does cause some rubbing if he is in it for too long, does anybody have any recommendations for a very pully Jack Russell with bald patches? TIA

Have you tried a head collar? We use a Halti head collar and now she's used to it it's much better than a harness which can encourage pulling.

We do also use a Julius k9 harness but that's just because she's a basset hound and can quite often refuse to move.

I had a problem with my dog when I first got her (from rescue). She was similarly not very hairy on tummy and armpits. The first two harnesses were no good and rubbed her. Then I realised fleece would be better. Try:

Ours is fine - no more sore patches. I don't use it in summer as I think it might be a bit hot and she's fine in a collar instead but if you really have trouble with sore bits on your dog, this is the one to try.

My terrier has an indi dog Houdini and he is quite lacking in the hair dept and we’ve never had an issue with rubbing .

My dog hates his harness but he pulls and had worn the fur off his neck when he wore a collar.
If I buy an expensive Perfect Fit harness will he hate it any less?

@MattMagnolia as your dog hates his harness and collar have you tried a head collar? Something like a Halti or Gencon? I use these on fosters that pull along with a harness, when they don't pull I relax the head collar, eventually dropping the head collar totally and just use the harness.

I don't know if your dog would like a perfect fit or not but one thing I do know is that Perfect Fit has excellent customer service, give them a ring or live chat online, if you buy it, try it and your dog does hate it, return it.

Also if for whatever reason you cant/dont return it but don't want it, sell it on ebay, they hold their value and I've actually seen them sell on Ebay for more than it would have cost new.
