We lost our beautiful girl in May, we finally felt ready to get another dog recently. The local rescue contacted us yesterday with a puppy that they felt would suit us, we visited and decided to take her. The whole family went up today and fell completely in love. When there we met another dog who is 10mths old, And we were smitten again. So we have adopted a 10 week old terrier and a 10 month beagle. The rescue said we are crazy but were very happy for us to take both, they met and were amazing together.please assure me we will survive. I’m resigned to having a messy house for a few months but it will be fine won’t it.

Thumbs up to you, hope you enjoy your two additions in time! No other words as don’t have a dog but you have given not one but two dogs a lovely life!

Aww. Beagles are hard work but I’m sure they’ll both be loved!

That's lovely. It will be ok, might be a bit mad at times.but with lots of love, training and stimulation it will be fine.
We got our two spaniels as pups. Not rescues but littermates, we survived their nearly 10 now.

2 puppies close together could work brilliantly or could be terrible.

The benefit of being close in age is they'll grow together. The negative is that it will be chaotic in places.

If you've got the space and the human time to invest then I don't see why it couldn't work. Good luck though!

I think it's wonderful. I mean, puppies are work and I never take on a dog under 3yrs so hats off to you, but I envy the extra time you'll get and the friendship those two can have!!!!

Ah thanks guys. I was amazed at them together today loved each other. I’ll see if I can upload a picture, if not today on Tuesday when we get them. The 10month old doesn’t seem to have any training so that will be harder than the puppy to train I think. But hopefully the classes will help. I’ve so missed our girl I feel I can’t ever have just one again.

As long as they get along and you're ok dealing with the mess while they get settled and trained, I think you'll be absolutely fine, nothing crazy about getting 2 as they'll always have company :)

Can't wait to see the pictures 😍

So sorry I’m so late with pics. My phone stopped taking photos. Meet Zuko (beagle) and Daisy (terrier). The have been brilliant. Daisy is definitely in charge. They have decided to sleep together in the crate at night, and we’ve had very few accidents as big brother is showing little sister the ropes. So far so good🐶😉

Ps you can see how long the no pups on my bed rule lasted😂

Please tell me we aren’t crazy 😜
