So here's a warning to make sure even the oldest, most infirm dogs are on the lead outside the house, cos you really can't tell.

My DS was coming to mine yesterday and her geriatric Yorkieshire Terrierist came out of her house looking for all the world like Albert Steptoe. Coff Coff!!! I'm dyyyyyyyiiiiiiinnnnngggg. So really there's no need to put him on his lead. He's not going anywhere is he? His lead's in the car, attached to his travel harness.

Then a cat walked past the end of her drive.

Her exact words were "took off like fucking Usain Bolt." In the road, out the road, through gardens and then did his raving nut at the bottom of the tree the cat ran up. So the whole street was treated to the sight of my sister dragging him away and him trying to get back in there, like someone in a pub fight who really doesn't know when to stop.

She said it was just luck she lives on a quiet turning and didn't get run over. Her neighbour (who owns the cat) was alright about it, but a couple of tins of Tuna have changed hands to soothe ruffled fur.

It's always the quiet ones grin

PestDog had a similar incident this morning. Let him out for an early morning wee and evidently one of the neighbourhood cats was in the dead end alley at the side of my garden.

The next thing I know there's a clatter, a scene reminiscent of Tom and Jerry, and the little shits are playing "demolition derby" in my lovingly tended veg patch. The pea supports have been repaired but one of my pots has gone to the great garden in the sky hmm
