Sad

I just accidentally smacked DDog with a cricket ball 🙈

We were playing and in my defence he technically ran into it. Bloody greyhound.

I feel terrible, he was horribly abused and he trusts me so much.

Tell me I’m not the only one to have accidentally smacked their dog with something...

** he’s fine BTW. Happily chewing his dentastick, it’s just me that feels awful.

I moved the furniture around a while ago and called my younger golden in from the garden. He raced in and smacked face first into the newly placed sofa. I thought for sure he had hurt himself but was absolutely fine.

Ours squeals and screams if she thinks her dew claw may get hurt or if it does actually hurt 🤦🏼‍♀️

When we first got our puppy I accidentally caught his tail in the door Blush

He yelped and ran off with his tail between his legs and I felt so awful I cried! He was fine after I gave him some chicken, however!

Mine was bouncing at me a while ago and I swiped at her. As she bounced at me. And whacked her nose.
Oh and there’s the time I clipped her nails so badly we ended up at the emergency vet to try and stop the blood loss.
I’m a crap Wolfie slave. Luckily she’s very forgiving and knows I don’t mean to be such an utter twat. Blush

I stupid on dogs paw last night. She yelped. In my defence I hadn’t realised she was right behind me. She got a massive cuddle & a pizzle to make up for it.

My dog is a sheepdog so is constantly by my heels. Completely used to it now and can dodge appropriately but when we first got her I remember standing on her paw and the yelp was horrific. She looked at me with a genuine expression of “why would you do that” and I felt so guilty, it was awful.

So many times I have accidentally trod on his paw or caught him by mistake. He then tries to comfort me despite it being my fault.

I accidentally smacked my girlie round the head with the ball thrower once 😭 then on the same walk did it to my toddler. That was a bad day.

I smacked my dog on the nose the other day when we were playing. No yelping, and she probably wasn't that hurt but boy, the look she gave me.

Made me feel really awful.

Mine (lurcher) was scrounging while I was getting dinner ready earlier. I dropped her a bit of chicken, she lunged for it, missed, and smacked her head on the cupboard door. Didn't seem to notice, though.

Apparently they can tell if it's an accident, if you're suitably apologetic.

Wolfie oh god, drawing blood when clipping nails is the worst. I felt worse doing that with DDog than when I did it to DS as a baby Sad

This ^^!!!!! Tail in the door - I'm mortified, full of remorse, apologising profusely, she's going 'it's okay, I love you, there, there, it'll be alright, it was all my fault for putting my tail there...'

I've just stepped back and stood on my chicken's foot. She too has been mistreated by humans in the past as she is an ex-battery girl but she still seems to love all things human-like. I have attached photos her when we first rescued her and one taken today to show off her charms.

Beautiful chicken! I’d love some rescue hens but worry my greyhound would chase them.

@JesusInTheCabbageVan
It scared the life out of me. The only good thing though is it spurred me to learn. I now know about the ACL. I clip at least once a week and Dremel too. Wink

Wolfie I haven't had the guts to try it again since Grin I ask the vet to do it.
