What’s the source of the itching?

I haven’t used Allacan for my dog. She is allergic to pollen so is on Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) and Yumega for Itchy dogs.

Not sure I think it's rolling around in the grass and maybe an allergy .....I have changed her food and give her chicken with cooked veg or sardines with cooked veg....

I’ve used other brands of cetirizine hydrochloride and it works really well Smile

Whereabouts is she itching?

Have you changed her food because you thought it was her original food causing it?

Sorry for all the questions Smile

She's itching under her chin, on her side, I have checked her over and she has a few small red scaly spots ....I have started giving her a teaspoon of coconut oil a day.....she wears a soresto collar and since she has started itching I have cut out rice in her food so now having chicken and veg or sardines and veg. Bathing her every other day with Malaseb shampoo.....it's a nightmare.

Could be a form of Dermatitis. I totally sympathise with you.

My dog has dermatitis on her paws and a few spots under her chin. Red and scaly like you say. She suffers when she walks on grass (my whole garden has grassHmm) . It is a daily routine to bathe her just to offer her relief.

The coconut oil is a good idea. I’ve also put my dog on food made by Tails.com as they make her food without wheat, rice etc...

I’ve read about the Soresto collar. She couldn’t be allergic to anything in that could she?

Have you taken her to the vets?

I would want to test for allergies or do an exclusion diet. Chicken is actually a major allergen for many many dogs. And veg can be an issue too.
Beware of washing too often. Our dermatologist says avoid it as much as possible.
What does vet say?

@MimsyBorogroves

I’m also going to have a look at that now on google! I’ll try anything if it helps!

Our pup is prone to allergies and also used to scratch a lot. We changed his food to Millie's Wolfheart and included a dose of Yumega oil (they also do one for especially for itchy skin) which has done the trick
