Dry Puppy Food

We are currently feeding our King Charles Pup a mix of Lily’s wet puppy food and James Wellbeloved Dry Food.
I can source the Lily’s ok, but the dry food is getting harder to get as I’ve cancelled my Amazon Prime.

Any other suggestions from more experienced dog owners as to a good dry food? I don’t want to be buying the cheapest crap, but cost is a factor so don’t want to go much more expensive than the the £4.50 per kilo I’ve been paying.

Have you had a look at //www.allaboutdogfood.co.uk?

I usually buy my dog's food from Zooplus, which has unusual German brands that are great value for money in terms of nutrition, as identified via the above website

Have a look at this website, it’s really handy for comparing different foods. It also shows the average cost per day which is useful as some high quality foods which are more expensive per bag can actually work out cheaper than more budget lower quality foods as you feed less per day.

I feed my lot Millies Wolfheart, and have done for years, which I’d highly recommend having a look at.

Thanks both. I have had a look at the site but find it so overwhelming! Will try and filter some more.

We get ours from here

www.healthyk9.co.uk/

It’s the only food our dog will eat and I have tried all sorts. Raw, Butterbox, loads of dry ones. She would eat Lily’s breakfast biscuits or whatever they were called but they became harder and harder to find.

On allaboutdogfood.co.uk I put in my dogs age and weight. Filter by type e.g. for you put dry complete and then modify the rating (I use 3.5 to 5.0). Then change it to show cheapest first.

Remember better quality food often requires less per kg of dog weight so whilst the bag seems expensive it lasts longer. I use the 'price per day' on that website as a guide then once I have a few brands I calculate the actual cost using their suggested quantities to ensure accuracy.

Mine has Canagan Small Breed, Chicken. (The duck and game seems a bit too rich, although he likes it too) It is suitable for puppies. I get it from the pet shop (to support shop) but you can probably get it online.
