What are folk feeding their puppies?

Have a five month old sprocker. She’s on dry puppy food but doesn’t rush to gobble it up so she’s either not a greedy dog or not too keen on what we give her. Interested on what are feeding their pups.

We had lots of problems feeding our cocker when he was younger and even now he isn't very food orientated.

Swooping from dry to wet helped enormously though, as well as switching flavours regularly. We feed a mixture of millies wolfheart, forthglade and carnilove.

When my lab was a pup she would sometimes go off her food (dry kibble) we didn't want to change it if we could avoid as it was recommended by both breeder and vet.
We used to pour a little boiling water over her food before taking her for a walk. By the time we got back it was cooled and the food was soft and she would go mad for it

Yes, I’ve resorted to hotcwater on her kibble now and then to see if it made a difference.

We add a raw egg to ours.

Our pup is 10 months now but she has been on Millies Wolfheart for about 6 months, Surf and Turf is her favourite mix. She practically inhales it and she looks amazing, people regularly comment on her coat.

WigglePup (8 months) is on Millie's - we chop and change the mixes and usually have at least two bags on the go to keep it interesting (we have airtight storage bins in the kitchen for it so buy the 12/14.5kg bags). He's currently on Surf & Turf and Riverside, and we've used Obedience and Countryside in the past. All solid favourites and he's doing really well on it.

To mix it up now and then we mix in some tinned fish (salmon, mackerel or sardines), an egg, or a drizzle of the water used to boil chicken for his training treats which he goes mad for.

Our springer has been on Millies since she was about 8 months. She has the 60/40 mix and we swap between a couple of the flavours. She's always eats it, dry in the morning then with some hot water on for teatime.

Canagan Small Breed. He likes enough that I can use it for training treats. He has been on it since 3 months. I want to change though, it seems a bit dull to just have the same food all the time...fearful of tummy upset though, not quite sure what would be an alternative

Feeding only dry food is how factory farmed animals are fed.
Meal times are so important to a hungry puppy, give them yummy tasty food with wet and dry and some variety, plus nutritious extras like eggs and sardines and big raw bones.

Another Barking Heads Puppy Days here. Came from breeder on Iam’s Puppy and the change in his coat once he got on to Barking Heads was really noticeable. He hoovers it up. He doesn’t much like wet food though.
