DPuppy Consistent Vomiting

Hi, first time pet owner so hoping I'm worrying over nothing!

6mo DPuppy woke up from a nap because of the sound of his evening meal being prepared and then came into the kitchen and wolfed it down (his speed of eating was the same as it always is but I suppose he rarely eats so close to just waking up). He then went back to his nap. To not drip feed, as of yesterday we have been increasing the size of his morning and evening meals by about 15g and decreasing the size of his lunch.

I then went to mop the bathroom floor and in that time he had thrown his dinner up. It was cleaned up and I went to sweep the hallway. In that time he had thrown up a further 3 times (food and a little mud?) and then threw up another twice at my feet (foamy yellow bile). He then threw up foamy bile another 10-12 times with the vomiting happening around every 5 to 10 minutes. No other symptoms except slapping his lips, a slight trembling (like a human gets after vomiting but was only detectable when touching him rather than with the eye) and wanting to crawl into my lap (although he's always quite needy). He is currently asleep on DPs lap and has been for about half an hour. He didn't throw up for about 20 minutes before falling asleep.

Can someone talk me down and say that it was just because of his increased portion size, eating straight after waking up, maybe slightly more sun than he is used to today and the possibility of ingesting the tiniest amount of compost at DMs today?

What brand are you feeding him? There’s been a recent recall of toxic dog food (Hills).

What breed is he? Are other puppies from the litter ok?

I am no vet but I would not think this is from increased meal sizes.

Sounds more like a bug, illness or eating something he shouldnt have.

I would watch him carefully , check the trembling is stopping and his gums etc are ok. I dont rush to the vets usually but would do if he is still showing signs of distress

Eukanuba kibble and Pedigree Puppy wet food. He's been on that since we brought him home in mid-November with no problems.

He's a miniature dachshund.

Not aware of how the other puppies are doing, we are not in contact with the people who adopted his two littermates.

The trembling has stopped and his breathing is normal. He's still fast asleep but will of course monitor him. Me and DP will be taking turns over night (we are currently sleeping in the living room anyways due to renovations).

The compost at DMs was store bought. He had a small clump in his mouth earlier today but dropped it. I'm just hazarding a guess that he could have ingested a little based on the fact that there appeared to be a little mud in his vomit at one stage.

Do you know if the compost was enriched with fertiliser? Quite possible if it's store bought.

DDog and I have had a stern conversation about not touching the grow bags (and another about not dropping toys onto my seedlings)
