Any rescued greyhound owners?

So sorry flowers it's really hard to get a diagnosis like that, i've no experience of kidney issues as mine had a brain tumour but it makes you appreciate & make effort to enjoy whatever time you have.

A friends dog now has a home cooked diet after heading towards kidney failure from raisins, sure she'd joined a Facebook support group for dogs with kidney failure so that maybe useful.

No experience but just wanted to say how sorry I am flowers our lovely ex racer is sprawled out on the bed next to me, they really are very special dogs.

My lovely rescued greyhound is 8.5 and the vet thinks she has early kidney failure. She was raced for 5 years before she came to us. We've been told 6-18 months is all she is likely to have left with good management. Does anyone have experience of this?
