The doghouse

(Lighthearted) my greyhound hasn't got on sofa should I be worried?

He's not even tried to put one paw on. Dozes on living room rug amongst the kids or on his bed.

He's been here 3 days and is a perfect gentleman. Loves all dogs and people he meets.

Should I be worried? Hmm

Sorry OP, you've got a broken one. Take him back for a refund or replace Grin

That's what I suspected. Such a shame as I'm totally in love.

Oh he is gorgeous. My greyhound didn't like our sofa but he fell in love with our battered old armchair and it became his. It was amazing to watch him fold his gangly legs into it.

Give him time, he's just eyeing up the best furniture.

He is boooootiful. Maybe he is offended that he does not have his own sofa?

Maybe he thinks his own sofa is on delivery soon?!

We are so lucky to have him, I didn't know that dogs could be this relaxed and he loves me as much as I love him, stress levels in the house are so much less. His fur is soooooo soft!

He likes it when you put his fleecy blanket on the floor, but most of all he just wants to be with people.

I think you should LTG and just send him to me, he is a stunning boy.
I've got a fairly new sofa, plenty of room for him here.

I'm in love with your beautiful dog! What amazing eyes... He'll work out the wondrousness of sofas very soon-enjoy having space while it lasts!

Very handsome. He's just being polite, he'll be up and have you sitting on the floor in no time.

he is just lovely! My grey has never got on the settee - and we will have had here for 2 years next month. Our last hound took over at once! But Moll just sleeps on her bed in the corner. She won't get in the car either, which is a real pain!

We've had our rescue gh for just over two weeks now.
After the first week he discovered the couch, so there's still time!

Oh my gosh, that doggy. I'd be crying if he didn't sit on the sofa with me!

Just you wait! You’ll have greyhound feet in your face while trying to watch Netflix very soon.

He's been so well behaved it can't last, I think you're right, he's just deciding which spot to nab. I have to lie on the floor with him for proper cuddles, wrong way round surelyGrin

Such a sweet face.

He's probably just sizing up the situation and deciding on the best tactics for taking over the sofa.

You sound absolutely smitten OP. Enjoy your lovely boy, he's gorgeous.

We’ve got a Romanian refugee. A lovely softy and very well behaved. He will not use the sofa. I sometimes wish he would because I’d like to snuggle up to him in front of tv but guess it has its advantages
No idea about previous history, of course What about yours?

He's an ex racer. Must have been well treated all along the way as his behaviour is perfect with kids, yapping dogs, any dogs and visitors to the house.

Glad your Romanian dog sounds so settled too, they're such a pleasure to have in the house.

Mine doesn't either. He prefers his bed or the floor. In contrast, his late brother would've spent 24 hours a day on the sofa if I'd let him.
