After much discussion, and big chat with vet, had our 8 month old golden retriever boy neutered on Tuesday. I know, I know, supposed to wait until heβs 15-18 months. But weβve had big problems with aggressive play, constant humping and trying to run off. Vet said this might help, it might not. But itβs done now.
So weβre at the stage where for the next 7-10 days, heβs not to go out for walk, got to be on a lead in the back garden for toileting, no jumping, got to be calm, and as still as possible to allow him to heal.
What could possibly go wrong?
Oh yes, heβs also supposed to wear the cone of shame throughout his ordeal.
Heβs already going bonkers.
We have:
Tasty chews.
Kong toys (tricky with the cone).
Games and training stuff (heβs sooo not in the mood).
Anybody got any other suggestions about how we survive this? Drugs?
