Never posted here before so please be kind.

My sister has cockerpoos. A brother and sister.

She’s just had another litter of 8 puppies and is looking to sell them for megabucks.

Would you buy one based on their genes?

Hell no - why did she think this was a good idea. Mind you I guess she won't tell people.

No! Did she mate them deliberately!?

LovingLola · 14/01/2019 20:59

If i was to spend megabucks on a puppy id want a full health check and for it to be registered with a kennel club. (Do cockapoos have a kennel club?) If she did this on purpose that is really really shocking.

Yeah that’s illegal..

GlasgowWorrier · 14/01/2019 21:04

NO to the mating.
NO to the backyard breeding.
NO to the selling 'for megabucks' despite clearly having done no research into anything related to their health or wellbeing.

And that's being kind.

Omg what a fucking idiot she is and the poor puppies

Report
Calzone · 14/01/2019 21:04

The poor bitch is on her second litter and yes, they did it deliberately.

I’m so upset about it.

Your sister is disgraceful. Will she be telling prospective owners that they are brother and sister and will they be having any health checks?

Report
WatcherOfTheNight · 14/01/2019 21:08

No way ! Why would she do that ??This one of the reasons why there are unhealthy puppies about Sad
I hope she is honest about this with potential buyers

Report
Chesneyhawkes1 · 14/01/2019 21:08

No that's wrong. I understand line breeding but no one would ever do that close on purpose

Report
AgathaF · 14/01/2019 21:11

Disgraceful

Report
Calzone · 14/01/2019 21:13

She had 6 puppies 18 months ago.
2 starved to death from cleft palates. 😭😭😭😭

She had 8 puppies today and 1 died as the runt of the litter.

Cockerpoos can't be registered with the Kennel Club. It's not a registered breed standard. They are cross breeds
What your sister has done is fucking disgraceful

WatcherOfTheNight · 14/01/2019 21:17

OMG calzone Sadthis is horrific
Did she take the pups with clefts to the vets ?

Can you try & speak to her ? Put a stop to it?

Report
ReaganSomerset · 14/01/2019 21:20

No. No no no no no. Tell the rspca. I don't know if they could do anything though. And why the heck didn't they seek treatment for her cleft palate puppies, or at least have them humanly put to sleep? Poor little things. Sad

Report
Calzone · 14/01/2019 21:24

They don’t have pet insurance so they didn’t know the puppies had deformities until afterwards when a friend told them.

This can’t be for real? Breeding brother and sister then not taking them to the vet because they don’t have insurance? Presumably they went to the vets for jabs and microchip?

Your sister needs a slap... I'd report her to the RSPCA

Report
SlowlyShrinking · 14/01/2019 21:31

I would report her too. It’s a horrible thing to do to them all.

Report
Calzone · 14/01/2019 21:33

Apparently the dogs have been microchipped and had their jabs and the vet told them it was fine to breed as they would in the wild.
