Ddog does not like getting teeth cleaned. We did have the pedigree dentasticks for a while but then found out they are junk food basically.

She has a bone and a nylabone but her back teeth are looking a bit dirty.

Can anyone suggest anything else to give?

Raw carrots. And natural chews like raw bones or pigs ears etc.

Whimzees have done amazing things for my whippets teeth, my vet was really surprised at his last check up, as the year before he'd noted down that he would probably need a dental in the near future.

A year of daily Whimzees are the are almost perfect. They are a bit pricey, but cheaper if you get the massive boxes from Amazon on other places online.

Ascophyllum nodosum (PlaqueOff and others) has been proved to have a positive impact on dental health - to varying degrees.

Mine gets some of the super crunchy fish skin treats everyday, they’re great for teeth. Then chewies like tripe sticks, bulls pizzle and rabbit ears a few times a week. Soopa & Lily’s Kitchen both versions of dental chews that are miles better than Dentastix.

Still a pup but eats a wet food diet so dental health is a big concern for me. So far so good.

@Aprilshowerswontbelong and @DeepfriedPizza can you let me know what veggies you give your dog? My pup loves a carrot but I haven't really tried her with anything else yet.

Although they work best with brushing toothpastes like Logic Oral Hygeine Gel will do some good however you get it into their mouths. It’s worth seeing if your dog will lick a bit of it off something.

Silent shadows, ddog eats anything carrot, broccoli, tomato, cucumber... The only thing we've found she doesn't like is apple

Ddogs eat raw broccoli - stalk the fav! carrot, cabbage, apples, pears, cauliflower - stalks only, not banana or orange tho they all like tinned mandarins!!
They are absolute waste bins.
