Please help. Suspected poisoned young fox. Where to report?

I have just seen a very young dead fox a couple of doors up the road. There doesn't seem to be any injury on him. He looks very fit and healthy. I suspect he was poisoned. Who do I report to? He's not on the road. He's very close up to a garden wall. I don't want to leave him like this.

You could try calling the rspca although not sure if they would deal with an animal that has passed. The council might be your best bet.

look up on your council's website what to do.
some say to put it in the garden waste bin, others say to leave by the kerb so that the sweepers can pick it up.

It's Sunday. The council don't even bother with the rubbish bins. I can't see them coming out for a dead fox. RSPCA won't come out for dead animals
I can't see any injury on him at all.

sometimes injuries are not visible.
I once saw one being run over and it just looked like it was sleeping without visible injuries.

I have left a message with the Wildlife Investigation Scheme. If it's been poisoned it needs to be investigated. I won't be holding my breath though.
I have lived on this road since I was a child and I have never come across a dead animal. Injured animals yes, but never a dead one.

I've had cats who have been hit by cars and died instantly without a mark on them. I doubt anyone will do an autopsy on a dead fox.

We had a poorly Fox in our garden and phoned the rspca but it went off then came back again but then died. They said to phone the council who have to remove it so we covered it until the next day with a tarp held down with stones but in the morning it had gone - taken by other foxes I presume. So it may well have gone by morning.

Good job the bin collection is coming tomorrow. I have vivid, traumatic memories of putting a dead fox in the bin without thinking about the fact it was 12 days until the next collection and a heatwave. Think fox poo stench, only 10 times worse. Within a few days there were maggots crawling out of the bin and the council actually agreed to come out and do a special bin collection just for us

The jaw was clamped tightly shut, that's what made me suspect it was poisoned. It's gone now.

Update: Wildlife Investigation Scheme phoned back. I asked the man what I should have done with the body. He said if there's a suspected poisoning to double bag the body and move to a safe place. They would have collected it. Also, to contact them if a domestic animal has died of suspected poisoning. I feel so much better knowing that there's an organisation out there that has responded and cares about what they do.
