Muzzle advice

I've got two pointy nosed dogs and I need to muzzle them while out walking. In order to get to the fields I have walk past a lot of fast food joints. KFC, McDonalds, Chicken Cottage, Chicken shack, and the amount of food scraps and chicken bones is shocking. Also it's not just that, the amount of food scraps that don't get put in bins is equally shocking.

I basically needs a good muzzel that'll stop the ddogs eating street food, any advice. frogs are small bordering on medium about 10kg or there abouts. they have small heads and pointy muzzles.

I won't pretend to be entirely au fair with which muzzles fit greyhounds best, but I will note that you need to get a muzzle that's a basket style (so dog can drink, pant etc through it) not a cloth style which clamps the jaw shut.

Don't bung the muzzles straight on either - you've got to go through a period of muzzle training so that the dog sees the muzzle as a positive thing.

Plastic whippet muzzles would probably be your best bet. If you just google for them you’ll tons of places that sell them, I think I got all mine from someone on eBay.

As well as the links Avocados provided the Muzzle Up Project has lots of great advice on positive muzzle training.

I dunno, 10kg sounds pretty large for a frog.

It must be to do to with what you're used to dogsinatent. 10kg sounds small to me but we have 2 x 6kg JRTs and they seem tiny compared to the 23kg springer Grin
