How to tell dog walker we've got cctv

Got a camera that streams to my phone, just to check in on new dog and tell her no if she's chewing the sofa... I assume I should tell the dog walker?

Feels a bit like I don't trust them when I do, best way to word it - just a p.s. on the bottom of my usual message?

Just explain to the dog walker what you’ve said here. And that it’s for security generally. That’s fair. And fine.

Just text and say-don’t panic, the house hasn’t been bugged by MI5, but just to let you know we’ve put a camera in the house in an attempt to stop the puppy chewing the furniture!!

I'd tell her, just so she knows. Something along the lines of
Hi, just letting you know, we've installed CCTV so we can keep our eye on doggy when he's home alone.

My dog walker knows I have a camera but it's very in your face so she would have spotted it anyway if I hadn't mentioned it.

I just told her why which was to check on him to make sure he wasn't upset or up to no good.

Also it's so common now to have cameras to watch the dogs I can't see them thinking it's odd at all.

Hm, I wouldn’t have mentioned it.
We have cctv inside and out here.
If they notice fine but I would never mention it to anyone.

Definitely tell them, I'd not like to know I was being recorded without my knowledge.

Wise words all, I'm probably over thinking it!

We have a camera....to check how dog is if we're out. I said to dog walker 'just so you know, we have a camera to check how dog is when we're out, it's not for spying, but it'll be on!' She had no problem at all with this

I wouldn't worry about it, just let them know out of courtesy. When I told ours she said not a problem and most of their customers have them! She said they are really really common now.
Having the camera is fantastic as ours has a speaker on it, so I can tell him off for biting things from anywhere. He always looks around very confused! But he does stop, so it's a godsend for our poor kitchen.

I am a dog walker - and often suggest to clients especially worried or inexperienced owners that they should set up a camera!

Another person saying just say it how it is.

Reminds me of the time I had to tell my cleaner that my scales were connected to the wifi and recorded weights, so I could see everytime they had a sneaky weigh in... Grin
