My 6 month old miniature poodle has been sick about an hour ago.
He was running round like crazy playing and then suddenly threw up. He’s never done it before!
He’s been a bit quiet since but then he’s probably hungry. He was fed some kibble this morning. Then had a tiny bit of scrambled egg. He usually has had more kibble by now. He keeps looking/asking for food.
And he’s tired (usually has a sleep around this time but people keep coming to the door and so he’s not settled yet).
Do I just feed him as normal after he’s had a sleep or should I feed him something else?
I’ve googled what to feed a dog after being sick but there doesn’t seem to be a consensus.
Lots say chicken but then others say this can disagree with certain dogs.
I read boiled potato or plain boiled white rice. Does that sound ok?
Any other suggestions?
Im hoping it’s just because he was racing about. Or that it’s just that he ate something (like puppies do) that he shouldn’t have and now it’s out.
Can dogs just be randomly sick just once and then he fine?
I have a sickness phobia so a bit panicked. (Can you tell?!)
Also any advice on how best to protect your carpet/furniture with a sick dog?
