Realistically depends on the breed but I'd say 5 months

6/7 months for absolutely no accidents

Actually that's probably more right! At 5 months they can still have the very odd accident. But depends on the breed again as some breeds are cleverer than others.

Battendog was reliable indoors for the most part at around 5 months. Last accident at around 7 months.

My GSD has never poo’d indoors. And he didn’t wee indoors from 9 weeks. However, I rarely left him on his own, I kept him tied to my belt, and I watched him like a hawk, and took him out every 20 mins initially. I crated him in a small crate if I had to leave him for short periods (to go to the loo myself for eg!) It was HARD WORK, but paid off quickly.

Just to add, my Golden Retriever, who I was not so regimented with, still peed indoors regularly until 6 months, and I ended up having to buy new carpets!
Hence the intensive training for GSD!

My boy lab, he was very young. Girl lab about 9 months. It varies so much.

For us it was 20 weeks BUT he had actually been fine from 16 weeks but then had a bout of collitis. Whch resulted in a midnight poo accident

Hard to remember exactly but I think mostly toilet trained around 5 months old. He did have a couple of accidents after that up to 1 year old but they were isolated and probably caused by 'stressful' events. He's never been a dog that can hold it for many hours either so whilst I see some people saying their dogs can last hours and hours mine can't.

5 months generally, perhaps 2 accidents up to about 7 months.

Neither of my current dogs have ever had a poo indoors and I have only ever had one wee indoors (my fault for taking my eye off the ball) once when he had been with me for a few days. Took a huge amount of effort for the first week but was absolutely worth it. They both started going to the door to go out almost straight away; cracked it really fast.

We got our lab at 12 weeks, we literally had 2 (very runny) poos and half a dozen wees inside and then he was trained. The breeder must have done a great job before we got him 👍🏻 and we followed it up by being there with him consistently day and night for the first 4 weeks he was home.

Mine were both around 6 or 7 months.
