New dog - first aid kit tips please

Following from my other thread about an itchy puppy tummy.

What would you recommend for having in as little remedies or essential bits of kit for minor problems?

Some of that stuff you may have at home anyway. My dog kit includes surgical spirit, savlon/vaseline, tea tree itch spray (one for dogs), tick removal gadget (yes can be done with tweezers but easier with that and only costs a couple of pounds) and pro kolin for upset tummy. Oh and also have activated charcoal tabs and painkillers.

I recommend
O'Tom tick removal device
Dressing and basic bandaging equipment
Antiseptic such as hibiscurb for cleaning wounds ( TCP is irritant to dogs).
One of the diarrhoea pastes, but seek advice if there is Blood present, dog is unwell or it lasts more than 48hours.
I would avoid giving oral pain relief if you are likely to see a vet as it prevents us from giving certain pain relief at higher doses so can actually hamper pain control.

The courses I am suspicious of learning basic bandaging etc is really helpful, but CPR honestly even in a really well equipped hospital with lots of staff and drugs to give it is rarely successful. If we get them back there is not long term survival. Plus just like in humans to do CPR well on a dog particularly a big one you have to be forceful.

Wondered if there was a particular website you all trust for dog minor first aid stuff? I did check about using sudocrem on my dogs itchy belly but it took some digging to get a consensus rather than a trusted go to website

I’m only taking of minor stuff. Like how long to leave stomach upsets, what too look for etc, before vets. Or how to treat a cut etc

I am a vet diarrhoea as above, vomiting more than twice should see a vet.
Cuts less than 1 cm keep clean if become red, inflamed, tender or have a discharge see a vet. If greater than 1 cm may need to be stitched so should see a vet.
