What made you choose your dog? How did they find their way into your family?
Our last dog was a Newfie X GSD, he died earlier this year sadly. We were desperate for another dog, and whilst usually big dog people, we decided that a medium sized dog would be better suited to our current setup. We wanted a breed that was happy go lucky, that would be good with people of all ages (we have 4 year old twins), could keep up on long walks round the woods and days out, but wasn't impossible to tire out and would happily chill for a snuggle on the couch. Husband suggested cocker spaniel, and here he is 🙂

What is your pups favourite toy?
A tuggy ferret.

Favourite treat?
Pigs ears

Hes only young so can't have long walks yet, but I suspect he'll be a long walk kinda dog when he's fully grown. Though he does love snuggles on the couch too!

What is your pup afraid of?
Horses!

Favourite memory with your pup?
The day we brought him home, we picked him up in Wales and drove all the way home to Scotland with him snuggled on my lap.

Bless!!! My 1 year old chocolate Labrador pup is also called Cooper!!! Have only had him a few weeks as he’s a rescue.

He’s not snuggly, affectionate, but not snuggly, but he has health issues so can’t do long walks either, so...

Hmm, oh, we took him on holiday about 4 years ago to a cottage in the middle of nowhere and it was so nice to be able to just have him out offlead and enjoying himself without worrying about meeting anything he doesn’t like.

And finally, would you ever get another dog?

Always, the longest I’ve been without one is 2 years where my work hours didn’t really suit getting one. (After the previous one died)

His first night we were in a hotel. Puppy kept trying to jump up on the bed, but couldn't reach. He almost managed it and just slid backwards on the edge.

my boyfriend’s stepmum knows a woman that rehomes lurchers and told us that she had a dog with separation anxiety that needed a home where they would never be left alone. as i work from home and love lurchers i just knew i had to have him! we went to meet him and he came bounding over and we all fell in love with him. we took him home the same day.

What is your pups favourite toy?
a toy rat that we have to constantly replace! the current one has no tail, no ears, and no nose.

Favourite treat?
a roast dinner!

a snuggle on the sofa - more often that not with one or both of the cats! he is the laziest dog i have ever known!

being alone. fireworks.

when he’d rest his head on my bump when i was pregnant and then look up quizzically when the baby kicked. when the baby was born he’d sit beside the baby’s moses basket day and night and as soon as the baby started to stir he’d start whining and run over to me.

Greyhounds take very little walking, so good for people that work full time. Amber came first and the rest just followed. We volunteer at the greyhound rescue, so any that fit with the pack we take in.
