Dogs that share beds.

Hi, for those of you that have a few dogs that sleep in one bed what do you use?

I have two labs and a large terrier who sleep in those plastic tub beds with a waterproof pad and fleece blankets in them. Our latest dog seems to prefer lying stretched out, whereas the others like curling up against the back of the tubs. I like the high sides of the tub - our house is 300yrs old and draughty so they get more warmth with sides.

Any suggestions for something easily cleanable, with sides that fits under our stairs.

I read about them being good for dogs joints. I'd think it would want a bed on top, though.

Thanks Puckle, I can't get the first link to show anything. Is it one of those raised beds that looks like a camp bed? It always looks a bit cold to me.

We actually have a small version of the second bed in the living room, they love it, but we live on a farm in the Pennines and it always rains, so they need more waterproof, heavier duty beds for their main basket.

We keep wondering about an actual children's wooden frame bed - putting their waterproof pads and fleeces in that!

I use both Tuffies or HiK9 beds and would definitely recommend either.

The Tuffies beds are amazing. They're really easy to clean and they dry very quickly. I've just checked and the two I've currently got in use are both six years old and going strong.

The HiK9s are a very recent addition to the selection of beds in the house but they're proving very popular indeed. It's not at all unusual to find multiple dogs piled up on even the smallest of them. With the Cosy Sleeves they're really nice and snug plus they're nicely up out of draught level without being too high a step up for my arthritic oldie. They're also really easy to wash, the canvas part of the bed just slides off and you can bung it in the washing machine.
