Spay scar- Infected?

Hi,

My 14 month old cocker x lab was spayed a week a go and she had her check up yesterday. The nurse said it looked a little red, didn't think it was infected, but to keep an eye on it. I'm not so sure. What do you think?

She's absolutely fine in herself. Normal appetite, normal energy etc. Just worried this might be something which could potentially get really bad, really quickly.

Thanks.

If the nurse said it's fine I'd be inclined to believe her.

However, I might also take a photo a day so I can compare them. That way you should be able to recognise immediately if it looks worse than yesterday and act accordingly. Much easier than playing mind tricks with yourself trying to remember "was it this red at this specific point of the scar yesterday or has it gotten redder?".

Hope she mends well xx

I work with animals and that doesn't look infected to me. As @missbattenburg said, taking pictures is a good idea that way you'll see any difference easier. If it doesn't seem to be irritating her, she's happy and she's eating and not going mad then it should hopefully heal nicely.
