Millie’s Wolfheart website hacked

If you’ve ordered anything from them since Friday check your bank account. My husband’s card has been copied and we’ve apparently had over £150 of Asda home delivery. We don’t shop at Asda. Millie’s are aware.

That's terrible! I ordered from them last Thursday, everything seems ok

That’s good. Hopefully they’re on top of things.

How do you know they have been hacked and are you sure it’s only orders since Friday ? Can see. Anything on their website or Facebook. Are our userids/passwords/bank account details compromised?

Was there an email (I usually delete then unless I’m about to place a bulk order)?

Have they officially said they have been hacked? Or has your card been used fraduantly and you have assumed it's from them? Two very different things so I would want verification of which it is first.

They have said they had a website error on the Facebook page. Nothing about hacking.

OP please come back and explain how you know for sure it was hacked and that your card details were used because of their website.

Hacking does happen as we have seen with this site and other big companies. However, it isn't fair to simply say something like this on a forum unless you know for sure from them that it happened.

I always pay for everything by paypal these days if the options there. Had too many times when websites have had to send out emails saying that they've been hacked and some information has been stolen (not millies before). Thankfully only ever had my card cloned once but I just feel better knowing that my card details aren't saved to shops systems these days.

SpiderCid same here as I moved to using paypal a lot after my credit card was used fraudulently. However, I suspect for me I am most at risk when using my card abroad especially when the US still hasn't fully taken to chip and pin and I am always closely watching my statements when I return.

I went to order on Monday evening and often use the WorldPay option that takes you to another site to enter your details. Never had an issue before. This time some drop down boxes came up to enter card details which I thought was odd so I left it.

The next morning I ordered using PayPal.

I have checked with my bank just in case but all seems fine.

Sorry, busy life at the mo.

JaimeLannister that’s exactly what I got but as I was in a hurry to order as we’d nearly run out I didn’t think any more about it.

This was the emails that I received from Millie’s:

It has been brought to our attention, that one of our customers has experienced fraudulent activity in their bank account following a purchase through our website’s Worldpay payment gateway.

Whilst there is no current evidence that card details were accessed during this time, we are urging all customers who placed an order through the Worldpay payment method on our site between Friday 2ndFebruary and Tuesday 6thFebruary, to contact their bank as a matter of urgency.

We sincerely hope that this was an isolated incident and we are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

And then:

We are having this cyber incident fully investigated and as we have a secure site licence and worldpay.

We are awaiting the outcome of the investigation we have closed the worldpay payment method until we have the outcome and we have also increased protection on the website. We have never stored card details as to reduce cyber crime and we are always looking for more ways to protect customers.

Ensuring that customers security is paramount and by informing all customers who ordered over the weekend to check their banks and liase with them on any movements that have not been authorised.

So it looks like that Millie’s was hacked and people’s cards have been copied. Hope that clarifies things.

I ordered from them at the weekend and had fraudulent activity on my card this week. Their Worldpay portal was compromised over the weekend and card details have been stolen.

They’ve emailed today to say that they’re not taking online orders at all at the moment. Clearly having to have a major sort out.

ThereIsNoSuchThingAsRoadTax hope you manage to get your money back.

Do you have to add your card details in then everytime you log in with worldpay?
