What a lovely dog. You are doing the right thing for her, hard as it is for you. My lovely Nellie is seventeen and a half years old and very frail. Everyday is a bonus but I know the time is coming when I will have to let her go. My love to you and your girl.

I'm so sorry, she is beautiful. It's such a hard decision to make but I think you know in your heart that it's the right one.

I had to make this decision myself last Friday, my heart broke in two...I keep going to let her out then it hits me all over again, my girl went very peacefully but I'm still struggling with the guilt.

We love them so much don't we, for them to have lived to such a grand age is reassurance enough I'm sure (I have to keep telling myself this ).

I will be thinking of you tomorrow be kind to yourself xx
