How do you clean skirting board and walls that your dog makes dirty

The title says it all, really. DDog (mud-magnet golden retriever) likes to snooze against walls and escapes into the sitting room to have a good shake after we've been on a walk has made a couple of the walls rather grubby with dirt and splatters. What sort of things do you use to clean walls that dogs have made dirty? I think we have bog standard paint on the walls (painted by previous owner) so not any of that fancy wipe clean stuff.

I use those magic eraser sponges for the same problem! I don't buy branded one though, I gets bulk load of cheap ones off eBay.

I had tried general purpose cleaner and water, so I'll try the magic erasers and if that doesn't work, baby wipes. For some reason I cannot stand the smell of baby wipes.

Dettol ani bac and a wet cloth. Comes up great.

When we redecorate we will get washable paint. Frankly, I'm tempted to tile the entire bloody house at this rate.

Huggies pure baby wipes don't really have a scent. I use baby wipes or cleaning wipes.

I just use flash in a bowl of water and use an ordinary cloth.

Why do you let your dog through to the sitting room before he's dry? We hose our dogs legs and belly after a muddy walk, then towel dry and they have to stay in the kitchen til they're dry.

My dog hasn’t just shook all over my cream walls, do I wait till it dries then baby wipe off or do it when still muddy and wet? Thank you all....

Put a coat like an equafleece etc on the wet dog and you will not get dirty walls and skirting boards much easier than washing down the walls.

Yep, currently halfway through repainting the house with washable paint - primarily for this reason

Wipe clean paint.
It is the only way.

We used washable paint sealant just for the bits of wall that get dirty. Very easy to use and it doesn't make the paint look any different.
