First time dog owner so feeling unsure what to do. 9 month old pup vomited a couple of times yesterday evening and has been quiet and fairly sleepy since. She hasn't wanted to go out in the garden and isn't drinking much and not at all hungry (but a picky eater at the best of times). She's just under the weather and not quite herself, but no more vomiting. She's prone to eating all sorts of rubbish off the ground and in her vomit was twigs and leaves etc!!
I cant decide to just see if she perks up later or ring the vet and make an appointment.

If you think she's not herself then take her I think. Ime if doggy's have eaten something that doesn't agree with them, like twigs, (!) then they throw it up but feel normal afterwards. Under the weatherness could mean they've eaten something more unpleasant. A quick trip to the vet will put your mind at rest. Hope doglet feels better soon, it's so sad when they are ill!

The most concerning part here is that she's not even drinking much.

I would take her to the vet, yes.

Hope she's okay!

It might be that she has a sore throat from vomitting (especially vomiting twigs!) which is putting her off food and water. Even so I think a trip to the vets if just to put your mind at rest. Hope she's ok.

Thanks folks I took her and the minute we walked into the Vets she perked up - typical! She's much better now and we've been for a short walk, she's had a bit of food and a drink.
I do need to keep an eye on what rubbish she's munching on though!
