It's for a fictional dog, if it matters! :o DS (9) is writing a story for school.

He says it's a scruffy dog (I think a small terrier mix of sorts from the Google images he's looked at :) )

I've suggest Sparky or Pickles but both of those are no good.

Bagley
Fourpaws
Scruff
Scrappy

I've had dogs called the first two names (currant dog is called peanut and she's a scruffy jack Russell but I don't think he'll go for peanut)

Rusty?
Tuppence?
Pepper?
Frodo?
Scruff?

Dredging here as most of the dogs I know have people-names.

When I was little I wanted a dog called Barclay ('Bark'ley - geddit?!) named after the massive dog on Sesame Street.

He says it is a boy, hearts. :)

I think he is sensitive about the "no people name" as his little sister is called Maggie and he's had about five of his classmates tell him that's their dog's name. Wink

I actually had a dog named Maggie for about eight years growing up and still used it for DD Blush

We have a small scruffy terrier mix called Diggory. Being a terrier he digs a lot so it's very appropriate.
