iPhone not charging

Yes, I am in the right topic.

I tried three different chargers and multiple restarts and still nada. Then I moved on to 'remove any debris from the charging port.' 10 minutes, much twiddling with a pin and and an interdental toothbrush later I had dislodged a tiny piece of Schmacko that was blocking something important and had a working phone again. I'm so glad I didn't take it to the shop to be mended Blush

Note to self : stop putting your phone in the pocket with the treats. I should have stopped doing it after having to buy a new phone case as the last one stank of fishy treats Envy but apparently I have no learning curve.

Grin I've not done that but I have pulled out a poo bag (thankfully empty!) in the middle of a meeting when I was getting a pen out of my bag ...

I took my phone into the Apple shop once, explaining that the speaker jack was blocked. And the nice man poked out what can only have been a quantity of ground-down dog treat. Blush

It's blocked again now. I'm ignoring it.

Grin

Thank you both. I have no shame when it comes to clean poo bags. As they're scented I think of them as pocket air fresheners.

I once took my seemingly dead Pc to the computer shop to be told there was nothing wrong with it. Came home again, plugged it in and all was fine...until ddog went under the desk and threw herself down pulling out the power cable.Apparently this was not the first time she had done it.

And why are my photos always a bit unclear? Nothing to do with keeping my phone in the same pocket as the dog treats, no..

Grin this hasn't happened to my phone (miraculously) but...

I've dug a huge wad of lint out of my brothers ipod headphone jack using a needle -no idea how it worked for so long with the amount that was in there.

Removed fluff from someone at works phone charging port with a safety pin.

Removed a lump of fluff from another colleagues phone with the proper tweezers from a gadget repair kit I have left at work. Then had a few other people come up to me asking me to do theirs.

Its pretty common and I think the apple store people do this regularly.

I was going to suggest you might be using the wrong type of lead Grin

You need one of these! Dust plug covers. I've had this problem a few times and I now use one of these covers. Couple of quid off eBay :)
