Come and admire my gorgeous greyhoundy foster girl Grin She's come back to rescue through no fault of her own, is 6 months old and absolutely gorgeous.
House trained, walks very nicely on the lead, sleeps all night, cat safe, kind to children, recalling very well, loves to play fetch and super cuddly.
She's going to be a big girl, but is stunningly beautiful with a lovely nature.

Gorgeous!!

One day I'll have a lovely pointy hound...

Hope she finds a family soon.

She does have her vices - shouting at pigeons, eating chicken poo, and drinking from your mug of tea (she doesn't like coffee though). And though she really likes children, she's a big bouncy energetic puppy without full control of her legs yet so might knock little ones over

I'm getting there..... we have decided to wait until after the hols in August to adopt a greyhound but I am so excited I keep googling everything in sight hound.

Have had several conversations with the rescue people. Home check will happen nearer the time (once the back fence is fixed).

Your girl is beautiful. What happened that she had to come back?

CMOTDibbler · 16/02/2017 13:43

Change in their work meaning she was getting left all day everyday with someone popping in at lunchtime. Doesn't work for a puppy

Great that you'll have everything ready Flippety. You can get in some serious coat and collar research in that time Grin

She's with EGLR, though not on the website yet

Oh she's gorgeous! A lovely, leggy teenage pointy. Beautiful.

I'm just beaming at her picture!

Where is EGLR based dibbler? We're in the South West of England. She does look adorable.

It's the good recall and good with children which is tempting me so much. I work from home as well. We could have such good fun together. What's her name?

CMOTDibbler · 16/02/2017 14:56

Thats a Milgi 26" coat she's wearing Scuttle! She is full of the joys of pointyness

Flippety, she's in Worcestershire, and is KiKi. She is def full of fun, and is getting quite good at retrieving a ball. She does sit, lie down, clean your feet (turns round on the spot), and could well enjoy agility/ rally x in the future

Love pointy dogs! This is Stanley, our 6 month old whippet.

Stanley is GORGEOUS! As is Kiki - soooo tempted, but can't have a dog and then go away. It's not sensible. I must keep repeating this mantra to myself. I need to stay off all the pointy rescue sites.

Even DH has come round to the idea of a pointy :)

CMOT did the two puppies you had find homes? Your new foster girl is lovely. I don't live in the Worcs area but do support EGLR.

CMOTDibbler · 16/02/2017 18:50

Yes, my two fawn puppies have both gone to lovely homes. The girl is the most pampered puppy ever! I'm hoping Kiki will find someone quickly as she is so luffly - she's cuddled up to me now making happy little noises

I want a pointy dog. We have a dog hating mutt so no pointy pooches for us yet

Report
Thomo2014 · 16/02/2017 23:37

Wow, we had considered putting an application for her first time round, so am really tempted now. CMOT do you know if she'd been homed as an only dog before? We don't currently have another dog so she would be with us, tho wouldn't ever be left more than a couple of hours.

Report
CMOTDibbler · 17/02/2017 07:46

She's always lived with another dog, though her last home the dog was older and I don't think played with her. I think human company would be more important than dog, though she'd love to go out and play with dogs in the park.

Give EGLR a ring and chat to Pip about it - I'd be super excited for her to go to a MNetter

She's beautiful CMOT.

How do EGLR still have Tally though?! She seems to have been there forever, I can't believe nobody has snapped her up yet Sad

I don't know all the details, but I think Tally needs a lot of attention and is a chewer and destructor of things. She is utterly gorgeous though.

My heart goes out to Maddie and Jess though - they are lovely dogs and just want to see out the rest of their days together the poor old girls
