Can someone please virtually slap me around the face with a wet fish!! As some of you fellow woof lovers know I have found myself stuck with a lovely lurcher. . Not for the want of trying - even on mn - to find him a forever home.
Today for the first time he has disgraced himself on my kitchen floor - dh wasn't impressed. So.....
He put him out the back door with our dogs!!!!!!!
And the sky didn't fall down and nobody got eaten!!
This isn't boding well on' the need to rehome him 'front!!
He has known our 3 his whole time in our lives (3 years) but not at this house and not been together for 2 years regularly - we have kept them separate since November which has been a pita to be honest.
I need to up my ads before we are a bloody 4 dog household!!!
Slap me now!!!

Nope. No slapping. Four can't be much more work than three plus he's already there so you're doing the work anyway! Grin

Couldn't possibly comment....ddog4 came to us as a short term foster, three years ago Grin

On the other hand, I do look at every new foster and ask myself if we could find them a better home than here - one with more individual attention/ no cats/ opportunities for training or dog sports/ busier household than here/ whatever else I think would be good for them. While each time I know they are perfectly happy and settled and I would love to keep them, invariably they can do better.

Speaking from experience, once you've got to three it's really not that much bother going four Wink
