They are 14 weeks old, greyhounds, from Ireland. Just staying with me for a few days until there's space with a regular fosterer. Absolutely gorgeous!

They are beautiful , aren't you tempted to keep at least one of them .

No, two dogs of our own is quite enough! Currently they are cuddled up next to me on the sofa. Hopefully with a child/cat/chicken test under their belts they won't linger in foster

Oh how adorable! You won't want to let them go ;)
I sent away two four month old foster pups recently and I still miss them...

Absolutely gorgeous, same markings as my lovely girl!

What is their story?

CMOTDibbler · 10/12/2016 22:17

I don't actually know - they were born in Cork, and came over at the same time as a litter of saluki x pups who were born with that rescue and EGLR had said they would rehome as that group find it so difficult. But I know nothing more! If they were staying with us longer term I'd have asked, but the fostering co-ordinator was a bit frazzled. They are absolutely full at the moment, and of course its even harder over christmas

Oh they are both beautiful Smile. I'd love a greyhound/whippet. They are such elegant dogs with the most beautiful eyes.

Gorgeous! Greyhound puppies are so rare, as they are usually all born into racing kennels. I'm just a little bit jealous Smile

Aw, those are the sort of dog we are looking for. Cat and child friendly? Still young? I'm sure they'll get snapped up by lovely families.

Oh dear. I've made the mistake of looking at EGLR website Sad.

They are very lovely, and the providers of their forever sofas will be very lucky people. They are learning very quickly, walk beautifully on their leads, sleep through the night and are just about housetrained (today, all poos outside, 2 wees inside but on the puppy pad by the back door when I didn't get there in time)

Tiny has ace ears!

Pointy hounds are lush.

I'm amazed they can chicken train them! My dad got an older (ex working and mistreated) bull grey. He once caught him eyeing up a sheep Shock safe to say he's never off lead.

Just ignores the cats though.

Serialrejoiner, yes they are only 14 weeks old and Kiki is snuggled up to DS with her head in his lap at the moment. Give EGLR a ring if you're interested Smile

Thanks, CMOT. I've sent them a quick email - with a baby on the way, we probably aren't the best candidates, but you never know. :)

Pip always takes every enquiry on an individual basis - there's no hard and fast rules. I would say Tiny would be a better fit in a younger family as she is super gentle

Thank you. We'll see what happens. Our cats came to us and have been the perfect fit, so I'm sure a dog will work out the same. If the timing isn't right this time, we will find something someday. :)

Squeeee! They are lovely.

We have a 15 month old foster whippet at the minute (plus our own two), who is gorgeous and child-friendly (and looking for a forever sofa). Excuse the fetching inflatable collar on the picture, he had his man-op a few days ago.

How gorgeous! And what a lovely collar Smile

Even though my younger dog is only 2 1/2, its amazing how you forget what puppies are like. Its so funny how a very sedate short walk on their leads tires them out completely

Here's a slightly better pic of our foster boy (the brindled whippet) together with our own boy (the black whippet). We're fostering him from Just Whippets rescue.

And now they are staying with us over Christmas! This could be fun Grin
The poor lady they were going to go to has had an accident and is still really unwell

Good news is that they have some people coming to see them in the next few days!

Bad news is that the rescue have had 11 dogs come in this morning Sad
