Which harness/restraint for Houdini Whippet?

Puppy is just five months, recently had him fitted for a harness as he could slip his collar.
Yesterday he slipped the whole harness, I was left by a busy main road holding just the harness and lead while puppy played I bet you can't catch me in and out of parked cars. He throughly enjoyed it but I aged overnight.
I'm used to pointy dogs as already have a Deer hound Greyhound cross and I think his rough long coat stopped any slippage problems but tiny dog seems to be part seal his coat is so slippery, very slight, super flexible and inclined to panic and jump backwards at loud noises and boisterous other dogs.
We went out today with him trussed up with both collar and harness but I think he could probably slip both so need a quick solution.
Hopefully someone experienced in slippery dogs can advise.

You want something with an extra belly strap that sits up behind the ribcage and stops the harness being pulled off over their head. Something like either the Ruffwear Webmaster or the Indi-Dog Houdini Ultra.

I've got whippets and prefer the latter as they're made to measure and my lot seem comfier in them. I've also got a whippet cross who is a proper escapologist and she's completely thwarted by both harnesses.

Thank you so much Lettuce, love that the second one actually has Houdini in the tile plus the claim no dog has yet escaped from it.
The only draw back is will be expensive as made to measure and he is still growing.

Although I see your dog has escaped both...

No, they're the only two she's never escaped from. She's thwarted by the harnesses, she hasn't thwarted them!!

Thanks for clarifying, skipped key words there. That's great.

This is one of mine in his Ruffwear Webmaster and his Houdini Ultra. You can see how the third strap makes it impossible for the harness to come off over the head.

I wouldn't use anything else for pointy dogs now, their build makes it so easy for them to slip out of normal harnesses even when they're not trying!!

Thank you Lettuce. Houdini ultra (in navy and baby blue) ordered today.
Looked less hardcore than the alternatives.

TrionicLettuce, are you still around? Do you happen to know what size your Ruffwear is? I'm trying to decide which size to order for a lurcher who weighs about 18.5kg but whose girth measurement I don't yet have!
