Help dog eaten conker

She's only small 7kgish and promptly threw up about the size of a normal dog poo (sorry if tmi but not sure how else to describe it).

Looked like chewed up conker plus food.

Called vets as discovered highly poisonous to dogs but they said that as she's vomitted will probably be ok.

Has anyone experienced this and their dog being ill with it?

Thanks.

Mine ate 2, and didn't vomit - if yours has, and the vet says it should be ok, then it should be OK. Keep an eye on it tonight.

Mine had to have a jab followed by a massive bill

Didn't want to ignore you but only experience I've had is that my dog, also small, ate the outside green bit of a conker a few years ago. Like your dog she vomited it back almost immediately, also quite a large amount of vomit.

She had no ill effects at all apart from the one large vomit.

In your shoes, I'd just keep an eye on her. Sounds like your vet isn't worried. I imagine if she's brought it straight back up she hasn't had time to absorb any of the toxin.

God they do do some daft things. Makes you wonder how wild dogs ever get past puppyhood.
