Punterlab (male) is coming up to 4 years old so not so much of a mad puppy. We often look after my daughter's jack russell who is one year old. Both neutered. She is staying with us for a week. She loves to clean his ears and teeth so her head is often in his mouth, he play fights, play growls and they have mad 10 mins about four times a day. The noise sounds awful but she always go back for more and he does encourage her. But at the end of the day after walks and meals she still wants to play fight and he obviously doesn't. Should I leave them to sort it out? Or move them to separate rooms - she will whine but he won't. Tried leaving them in the kitchen overnight but gave up after 2 nights as she bothered him too much, so I have got the little bugger in my bed.

I'd separate, it's not fair on him. Or can you just put her behind a staircase gate?
