Dog boarding

I've just been quoted £300 for a week of boarding for my two dogs by a friend and nearly collapsed. That is apparently including 50% discount for the second dog. Is that really the going rate in SW London/Surrey borders?

We've booked our first ever holiday abroad so a bit of a novice at organising doggy care.

Any other recommendations for the area?

Thanks!

I pay £35 a night for my two dogs, so that would be £245 for 7 nights. I consider this a really good rate for home boarding.

Midlands, so should be cheaper than your area!

Ah. Yes, I think rates must be higher here in the south. Just shocked at how expensive it is. Some people pay that for child care (probably not here though!)

Yup. About that up north too. I've looked into home boarding where they stay in someone's home. It's not much cheaper but for the 121 care it feels a better option.

I'm in the south sun-mom is £25 a night Friday/sat is £35 that's for home boarding (she also my dog walker and groomer and qualified trainer ) so he comes back with nails cut etc no extra charge .

And second dog gets 50% discount

To me it is worth it as I can relax knowing he is safe and well looked after and yes Spoilt to

Can't you get a family member to watch them. That's what I'm going to be doing when I go away this year.

When I looked into this recently it was between 15 and £25 per day ( in Yorkshire)

we pay about 25 a day for an overnight for the four footed menace... that is in a homestay with a lovely if not crazy lady that lets him get away with all sorts he wouldn't at home! It is worth it as menace is really going to his second home!
