Wellies for wide calves

Has anyone found some comfortable welly boots please?
My beloved Huntress have split after many years use, I've been looking at new ones but the prices have gone up considerably since celebs started wearing them. I also found them a bit slippy sometimes?
I mostly use them for dog walking in fields and the beach but am going to a festival soon so would like to take them to that.
Any ideas of brands/sites I should look at?
Thanks

I bought a pair of the neoprene lined wellies from Jileon and they are the warmest, comfiest wellies I've actually ever had. Very reasonably priced too. They are plenty wide enough for my chunky calves, they slip on and off easily.

Hunters are shit now. Mass produced abroad and poor quality compared to what they used to be. I buy them for the kids because they like the colours and they grow out of them before they fall apart.

I accidentally bought a pair of Aigle parcours vario wellies - they're quite wide to start with but also extremely adjustable so could accommodate a wide range of calf widths

They're very comfortable on long dog walks too. I have to wear thick socks to soak up some of the excess width but that's fine

Muck boots neoprene wellies with stretchy calves or the American brand Bogs are good if you come across them. ( owner of large calves).

I have just bought a pair of Kangol wellies ( they are on Amazon or Sports Direct) after reading good reviews about then.

I could not believe they fit me with space for thick socks / jeans and my calves have never fitted in wellies before so I would recommend them !

Aigle parcours. I don't have particularly slim calves, but can still fit jeans and long socks into them.
They are so comfy I actually wish I could wear them everywhere and in fact sometimes I do, sorry, Tesco shoppers

Oh and bought mine in a local farming equipment shop type thing and they were £35 not £45 or whatever Amazon are selling them for

Mile on say up to 50cm calf but are actually bigger but can be cinched in. If they've improved their material, I'll be buying some again.

Okay, so I've bought these to try, they are snug on the calves but comfy, they seem to bunch a bit round the ankles, is that okay?
Shall I keep them or not?

Do they fit you in the foot, simplepimplebum? They don't look as if they do. They seem to only have their calf width by virtue of the insert but otherwise look like quite a tight fitting boot, with a bag for a foot at the end.

Given that in the photograph your calves don't look especially wide, I would say this boot is a poor fit and odd shape, so ... no ... don't keep them.

Try a pair of Jileons, or even some of the slightly shorter wellies in some of the supermarkets.

Sorry, but they look an odd fit.

I have muckboots which are good although do bag around the ankle on me and I have just bought some ladies dunlop actfits which are plenty wide enough on the calf but not floppy on the foot or ankle

I didn't get on with Jileon boots- I have weird shaped legs I think!
