Our neighbour has a patterdale,he's a grumpy bugger (he has a miserable life to be fair) but he has the cutest face and I'm sure in a different life he would have been a lovely dog.

How cute! I can temporarily one up you, OP; I have two Patterdale pups lodging with me at the moment. They're only staying another two weeks though, as I'm looking after them, and do not want any more dogs of my own. (I was also looking after their mum, but it was too much to handle alongside a baby, so their mum is with my mum and we visit almost every day - she's young, but a great little mum, still allowing them to nurse even though they're fully weaned and eating puppy food.)

At 8 weeks old, they are feisty little madams, one was quite ill, but is better now and both have found their voices! As much as I'm looking forward to having my house back I think I'll miss the little monsters when they're gone. The mum and dad are workers and I imagine these two will end up in working homes; they're bright, energetic dogs who need an outlet for their terrierness!

Have included a pic of them attacking my lurcher. He's only 1 and has surprised me with how gentle and tolerant he's been with the girls. My other dog hates the puppies and avoids them at all times.
