Anyone have any experience of this.

Little whippet cut hers quite badly. Been to vets this afternoon and they need to either see if they can stitch it or if not remove it. I would personally it rather come off but apparently surgeon needs to see it before a course of action is decided on.

Anyone had similar and knows about healing times or possible complications? Had toddler hung on my leg and a madly vibrating whippet and didn't ask enough questions!

Not carpal pad, but ddog1 had his dew claws removed when he was neutered (actually the remains of them as his had been badly done by his first owners, prob with a penknife), and they healed beautifully - 4 stitches, 10 days of the cone of shame as he is a nibbler and bandages wouldn't have stayed on

That's good news CMOT. Your poor ddog though.

He was a failed hare courser, so tbh he was very lucky that he was handed into the rescue when they realised he had no prey drive at all. He's a wonderful dog with not a bad bone in his body
